The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an agreement on 8 July 2026 in Baku to mutually exempt holders of ordinary passports from visa requirements. The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate travel, tourism, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Although the agreement has been signed, no official date has yet been announced for its entry into force. The visa exemption will become effective only after both countries complete the required legal and administrative procedures and officially announce the agreement’s implementation.
Travel Advisory:
If you are planning to travel to Azerbaijan in the near future, you are advised to continue following the current visa requirements until an official announcement confirms that the visa exemption has taken effect.
